Becoming Towards Being
Sábado: 12:00 – 13:30
Duração: 90 min
This class is inspired by Non-Dual Tantra Shaiva philosophy – a school of thought that describes everything you experience as an expression of an aware energy (Spanda) contracting through you, and manifesting itself as a divine world around us.
Your body, like an instrument for Spanda, contracts these all-pervasive vibrations, allowing them to become into being as movements and forms, or expands allowing you to become into Being as the vibration itself.
Tuning in to the pattern, happens through refining your body to quietly listen in on itself, its thoughts, emotions and the world surrounding us, and once integrated, allowing Spanda to flow uninhibitedly through your movements and actions as a somatic practice.
In this class, we explore the natural expansions and contractions of the body as we flow between poses, to a beautiful soundscape of pulsating music that supports the theme. Join us in movement and stillness, and the spaces in between.
Helene’s teaching is soft and embracing. She holds a safe and allowing space, gently offering an exploration of the landscapes she creates through language, music and the stillness in both.
Her sessions provide a framework for you to speak from your movements, and experience their transformation in recognition. She draws inspiration from nature and inner landscapes in her classes, always searching for the seed of movements that initiates shape.
Non-Dual Shaivism is a grounding philosophy in Helene’s life, approaching everything as neither light nor dark. She strives to gain a deeper connection to the essence of all things with this world and life-affirming philosophy.
Helene grew up in the Danish countryside near a forest, and has always connected deeply to the elements; colours, patterns and movements between natural shapes inspired her from a young age. She attended a Waldorf school and later worked with theater, painting and various forms of performance arts.
She developed an interest in yoga through her travels, but it was not before she met Satu Tuomela, her teacher and the founder of Authentic Flow Tribe and began to study with her, that she could start to bring the different directions of her life together, and express what had always been so real and alive inside of her.
Helene has studied with Satu in Bali, Portugal and The Philippines, and became an Embodied Yin Yoga teacher with Satu and Dr Scott Lyons in Stockholm.
She is continuously deepening her own practice and educating herself, and has recently taken a course in Women’s Self Care with Emily Kuser.
